Chilli Infused Almonds

Makes 5 cups

Ingredients

  • 5 cups whole almonds
  • 1 Tablespoon good quality sea salt
  • 1 2/1 Tablespoons powdered chilli
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 2 large egg whites

Instructions

Preheat oven to 150 degrees.

Beat egg whites until light and foamy. Stir in sea salt, chilli, sugar and nuts. Individually spread on baking sheet and place in oven.

Bake for 15 minutes at 150 degrees, then reduce to 120 degrees. Rotate almonds in pan and cook for approximately 10 minutes. Remove from oven and spread almonds on a clean baking sheet to cool

Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
